Berkeley Faculty Club Wedding | Sam & Maureen

I was so excited to finally photograph at the Faculty Club at UC Berkeley. Sam & Maureen’s whole day was warm, relaxed, and thoughtful, and it had that easy feeling where everyone actually knows each other and is happy to be there.

They found me in a very full-circle way too. They found me by way of another wedding I photographed, as guests and that same wedding couple was actually at Sam & Maureen’s wedding too, as guests! I love when weddings connect like that, like your people become part of the story twice, and then you get to build something new from it.

It was a really great wedding team. From the venue/catering staff, to the DJ and I always love working with Janice. When you’ve got a planner who keeps things fun, calm, and moving without rushing, it changes the whole energy of the day and lets everyone stay present.

Through the wedding event paperwork that Janice sends, to keep everyone on the same page, I recognized a vendor (they made the donuts for dessert) are old-school friends of my husband’s. Totally random and such a fun surprise! My husband was actually there assisting that day, so he got to take a quick selfie with the bride and send it over to them, like a little hello from the wedding day. And he was all, wait you know Mo! (:
