A Coastal Engagement Session | Daisy, Eddy & Mika
When Daisy reached out about their engagement session, they already knew exactly what they wanted. They originally wanted something in San Francisco, with more ocean views, beach rocks and some greenery. And while there were many spots I could have offered up to them for all that at in San Francisco, the location I suggested was something that easily checked off the boxes, without too much of a crowd but the only draw back was, no Golden Gate bridge to offer that very Iconic San Francisco coast line. Oh and one more ask was - if the location was dog friendly, and of course it was!
While the Bay Area was in the middle of a serious heatwave that week, I was so glad to be heading down the coast and getting a little respite from the heat and enjoying the cool ocean breeze. Even though it was still almost 80 degrees! I love this location because it is tucked away enough that it still feels like a discovery of a hidden gem. You get the hills in one area and then the beach on the other, only a few minutes away from each other.
Daisy and Eddy are the kind of couple who make my job easy. They're laid back, they laugh a lot and take guidance/direction well. Mika, for her part, was a total professional, not a peep when other dogs passed her by, but also wasn’t that much into treats either but she obliged when needed (for a few split seconds here and there lol).
The person wrangling Mika on the day was Daisy’s cousin and happened to be a past bride of mine! Now showing up with her husband and their little one to help out at the session. Full circle moment, since Daisy was the one who was the dog wrangler at that couple’s engagement session years prior.
