SF Golden Gate Park Engagement Session
This Golden Gate Park engagement session took place in San Francisco and felt relaxed, easy, and very true to the couple. They traveled a couple of hours to meet up, and from the start the session felt more like hanging out than anything formal.
We spent time walking through Golden Gate Park, focusing around Blue Heron Lake (formerly known as but always will be known as, Stow Lake), chatting as we went and letting the session unfold naturally. That slower pace is something I love about engagement sessions in the park. There’s room to move, talk, and settle in, which always leads to more candid, natural images.
In a very small-world moment, I later realized I had crossed paths with Kassidy again outside of photography. When I couldn’t get an appointment at our regular vet, I ended up booking with PAWS of Pleasanton and recognized a familiar face right away. Turns out, it was Kassidy. One of those funny, unexpected overlaps that made me smile.
I’m really looking forward to photographing these two again at Deer Park Villa next month, which feels like a perfect next chapter after this session in Golden Gate Park.
