Oakland - Temescal Beach House Wedding | M+D
This wedding has been sitting in my drafts for a while, but it absolutely deserves to be shared, especially because it took place at Temescal Beach House in Oakland, a venue I’d love to photograph at more often.
Temescal Beach House sits right along the water at Lake Temescal and has a calm, open feel that works beautifully for weddings that prioritize connection, movement, and being fully present. The setting feels grounded and social, surrounded by nature, while still being very much in the city.
I like to think of Temescal Beach House as the little sister to the ever-popular Brazilian Room. Both venues are operated by the East Bay Regional Park District and share a similar approach to hosting weddings in nature-forward spaces that feel thoughtful, communal, and connected to their surroundings. If you’re considering venues run by the East Bay Regional Park District, you may also want to see this Brazilian Room wedding I photographed in Berkeley.
Like many of the weddings I photograph, this day didn’t need much explanation. It was centered around the people, the setting, and the moments that unfolded naturally. Sometimes words fall short, and the images tell the story better than anything else.
Below are highlights from this wedding at Temescal Beach House in Oakland. I hope as you move through the images, you get a sense of the pace, the atmosphere, and what it felt like to be there.
