Looking Back: Shawn & Aimée’s San Francisco Wedding, 10 Years Later

Scrolling Instagram the other day, I came across a New York ferry wedding — champagne in hand, wind in the veil, city skyline in the background. It instantly reminded me of Shawn & Aimée’s wedding I photographed right here in San Francisco, 10 years ago.

Naturally, I went back through their gallery. I knew the images would look different from how I photograph now, as my editing has changed and my experience has deepened. But instead of focusing on those differences, what stood out most was how much heart was already there. The way Shawn held Aimée close against the Bay Bridge. The laughter of their family and friends on the water. The joy of a day that wasn’t about perfection, but about presence.

Looking back reminds me how grateful I am for the couples who’ve trusted me with their stories.

If you’re planning a wedding in the Bay Area (or beyond) and want your day documented with honesty, warmth, and a little bit of film magic, I’d be honored to be there.
