A “Day After” Session at Golden Gate Bridge

This was a day-after session. I wasn’t their actual wedding photographer on the day of (I of course made sure it was ok with their photographer that I was doing this!), but we met up the next day so they could get additional photos of themselves in their wedding attire before they left the bay to head back home to New York. It’s a good example of how a couple can approach their wedding day. By keeping your wedding day focused on being present enjoying your celebration and having it be purely documentary, you can then carve out time the next day (or a couple of days after) for portraits when there isn’t a timeline to worry about.

This couple only had one request - to have the Golden Gate Bridge in the frame. The plan is to recreate something similar when they head back home in NYC with the Brooklyn bridge in the background. And I hope they were able to get it, it would make for a gorgeous print side-by-side. (I of course offered to be the one to also take the photo out there! You never know!)

So we walked. Didn’t mind the other people. Let the wind do whatever it was going to do. Kept it simple. Still breath taking and beautiful.
